Arm Chop

An arm chop is a basic setup that all wrestlers should utilize.

An opponent that ties with bent arms is vulnerable to an arm chop.

Watch as the blue wrestler brings his forearms up and then down on the bent arms of his opponent.

Notice that the blue wrestler has moved to a split-leg stance to put more weight on the downward chop.

The chop can be done on one or both arms.

The explosive chop can work as a snapdown and can open up shots as well as go-behinds.

Here, the blue wrestler has moved from a chop to a front headlock position by destroying the stance of his opponent.

Immediately the wrestler begins to hustle for the go-behind score.

As he gets to the corner he reaches for the near leg.

If the defender comes up then the attacking wrestler is in position for a single or high-c.
