Bodylock with an Outside Step
The red wrestler moves into an over-under upper-body position
He locks at the ribs of his opponent. A wrestler that can establish a tight lock will have an advantage.
The wrestler takes an outside step, towards the trapped arm side of the over-under position.
In this throw the attacker uses more of a twisting motion as opposed to a back arch.
Notice how he continues to drive aggressively off of his trail leg.
The deep, lunging outside step of the attacker, blocks the ability of the defender to circle and center himself.
With the defender off-balance, the attacker twists and arches towards the trapped-arm of the bodylock.
By popping his hips through his twist and arch the defender is thrown to his back.
To maintain pin control, a wrestler should still keep his hands locked. Notice how the defender gets to a bridge to fight the fall.
