Nebraska-Omaha's Todd Meneely named Wrestler of the Week for March 10-16

Todd Meneely (Omaha, Neb./University of Nebraska at Omaha) has been named Wrestler of the Week for March 10-16.

Each week, will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.

Meneely captured his third straight national title to lead the University of Nebraska at Omaha wrestling team to the NCAA Division II championships on March 14 in Houston, Texas.

Meneely defeated Upper Iowa's Travis Eggers 4-2 in double-overtime to win the title at 157 pounds. Meneely won titles at 149 in 2007 and 2008 before moving up a class to 157 for his senior season.

Meneely led Nebraska-Omaha to its sixth national team title in school history. The No. 1 Mavericks scored a whopping 146.5 points, 66 more than runner-up Newberry (S.C.).

Meneely finished his senior year with a 27-0 record. He was 85-5 in his career with UNO.
